    I suppose the email is related to Zyxel 30th year anniversary, and the Secureporter promotion.

    I also received this.. and also got confused, thinking WTF!

    Perhaps a better wording (or an advance email explaining what you're up to) would have been nice! (You must realize that when we receive unexplained notifications from our firewall, worry-level always goes up a notch :-D )

    Last year for 5 devices i had a... "mail stroke" when SecuReporter trial was enabled on a bunch of devices. I was scared that many devices were compromised at the same time.

    In this occasion i were aware that Zyxel could enable services without any confirmation or action by me, so i was able to dodge fear and terror.

    I like the "free feature" (i think that i won't use it on my enviroment), but... Enabled services before user acknowlegement make me feel quite awkward,

    I hope next time the marketing strategy will be a bit more... tactful.

    We apologized for making certain confusion to users regarding to this mail notification. 

    For sure we won’t activate the services without users’ permission by ourselves. 

    Regarding to the wording makes people confusion, we will consider more comprehensively before launching this kind of promotion.

    I don't know if that's correct or not... But i were able to activate the 396 days trial on an old device (Registered during 2017) that never used trial of SecuReporter...

    Hi @mMontana

    No matter it is old or new device, as long as the firmware is ZLD 4.32 and after, and device are ZyWall/USG series, we will provide 1 year for free.

    However, you need to activate it within 5th August - 31st October 2019.
