Zywall SecuExtender and Mac

I have Zywall SecuExtender_MacOSX1.1.7 and Mac OSX 10.14.2.

When attempting to run SecuExtender, I'm given an error that this version is not compatible with this version of Mac OSX.  That makes sense, however the supported Max OSX version is over 5 iterations behind...

Is there a workaround for this issue?  If not, how long will it take for Zyxel to create a client that's compatible with MAC OSX 10.14.2?

    Hi @itburkealert

The SecuExtender1.1.8 has released. You can remove old version and try the new version again.

  • Connection works, but after connecting I cannot access any websites.

    Hi @itburkealert

Can you reach and get response from 8.8.8.8 after established the SSL VPN tunnel?

Also you can make sure your DNS setting is correct, and DNS server is reachable.

  • I do not have any Network Extension options in the preferences nor in the Connection settings.
  • Can you explain why I don't have these settings?

    Hi @itburkealert
The Network Extension setting is on USG. After client established SSL VPN tunnel, USG will deploy configuration to user.(e.g. IP address, DNS, Routing....etc)
You can find it by Configuration > VPN > SSL VPN and edit rule
  • Thank you.  After I connect to the VPN, I only have a Details and Preferences option within the Zywall Client.  I don't know what USG means and I don't have a Configuration menu.

    Hi @itburkealert
The SSL VPN configuration setting is on USG.
After SSL VPN tunnel is established, then SSL IP configuration will deploy to SecuExtender on mac.

If you can't access to website after established SSL VPN tunnel, then you may have a check on your DNS and route setting.

Thank you!  There was a problem with the DNS settings on the USG side.  We have now resolved this issue.

    Hi @itburkealert

Can you take a screenshot on:

    (1) SSL VPN configuration on your USG.

    (2) The SecuExtender IP status after established SSL VPN tunnel.

    (3) Traceroute to DNS IP address after mac established SSL VPN tunnel.
