Hi,

I bought a USG20.
How many users can join a vpn simultaneously without buying any license?

Thanks

I saw that document but it is not clear to me if those tunnels need a license or if they are free to use.
Also I can't understand the same on SSL vpn, it talks about 5 default concurrent users, does it mean I can have 5 users simultaneously connected thru an SSL vpn without purchasing a license?

If those users are free to use, do I have to activate them anywhere? Is product registering required or something else?

    Thanks

    Regarding to this case,
10 IPSEC tunnels are free to use, and on SSL VPN scenario, 5 users can simultaneously connected with USG without activate license.
To create the SSL VPN users, you need to Go to SSL VPN>Select the account to be SSL VPN user.

    Thanks for your answer, Charlie
In order to allow up to 10 people to access remote server's resources thru a vpn, can I set up an IPSEC vpn and have them connect using the Windows built-in vpn client? Does it support connection to Zyxel ipsec vpn?

Or, asking in another way...my goal is to allow up to 10 people access remote server's resources thru a vpn for free.
As far as I know I have to use ipsec (as ssl allows max 5 users for free).
Zyxel IPSEC client needs to be purchased.
Zyxel allows 10 ipsec tunnels for free but one has to buy for the client?  :/

    Hi @Pabloit

You can establish the L2TP tunnel to USG by Windows build-in VPN client.

You can follow the wizard to create the L2TP rule on USG, and setup L2TP configuration on PC.

    Hi @Pabloit

You can follow the wizard to create the L2TP rule on USG, and setup L2TP configuration on PC.

Unfortunately I don't have that wizard as I am using the old USG20 (not the new USG20-VPN model).
Old usg20 wizard only has "VPN Settings" and ""VPN Settings for configuration provisioning", while the ""VPN Settings for L2TP" is missing.
What steps are needed to manually do what the wizard automatically does?
    Thanks mate

    Hi @Pabloit

You can reference to FAQ to setup your L2TP connection.

I followed these instructions but I'm unable to connect.
The ip address of the zywall wan interface is a private address in my lan and I selected it in both phase 1 and phase 2 of the ipsec configuration.
Then I set up my external router to forward ports udp 1701 (L2TP) and udp 500 (IPSEC) to the ip address of the zywall wan interface.
Finally on my laptop I configured the remote connection to the public ip of my router (assigned from my ISP).
Is it correct? Is there anything else I have to do?

    Hi @Pabloit

As your scenario is L2TP server behind NAT router. This scenario only support in 4.25 or above version.

USG20 doesn't support for this scenario.

If you are interesting this function you may consider use USG20-VPN.
