How can I change the (buffer) battery on a NAS 540 / NAS 520?

I have a NAS 540 and NAS 520.
Time setting gets lost (obviously by empty buffer battery), so no Power On-schedule and automatic /scheduled backup (from 540 to 520) is working correctly.
Any idea where to obtain a disassembly/service manual, or how to open the case for access to the main board?

I've opened the box some time ago, and I can tell you it's not designed to do so. I needed a knife to open the clamps which keeps the housing together. You can see the seems at the outside. But maybe you only need to remove the front. Can't remember if that's easier, but here you can see the battery is near the sd card reader.0
