Does DCS consider non-wifi interference ?

Hi @Wicky
Unfortunately DCS does not scan for non-wifi interference, it only scans/measure for 802.11 beacons then determines better channel. For interference sources such as bluetooth, microwave, cell phone towers is not recognizable for the APs.

Hi Dean,
So my two ideas about RF scanning (I have seen this feature on another brand, although this AP was not accessible during the 5 min scan period) and customization of channel set (instead of default 3 or 4 channel deployment) are more relevant now as DCS is not able to tackle a channel with heavy interference.

Hi Dirk,
Totally agree, the solution for non-wifi interference at this stage is limited to configurable channels which this feature is in the roadmap already, currently scheduled in 2018. For the time being you may want to set static channel to avoid interference.

Additional information, the non-wifi interference scanning feature is limited to hardware capabilites in which our APs as of current don't support it due to chipset limitations.
