I connected a 3G modem to my USG20-VPN.
It shows up "Device Ready" in Interface summary display.

But when i click connect to network, my internet is not working anymore.
  • Cellular connection is made, and signal is good.
  • WAN1 is up and working
  • Sometime just load only Google.com, but none of other websites are working.
I didn't setup and load-balancing or other routes.

What i want to achieve is a Policy route to forward Youtube traffic from LAN1 to 3G modem.

Is setup of a Load-balancing trunk is essential? What am i doing wrong?

    Hi @Gayanll

Is any specific routing created on your device?

Can you take screenshot on policy route setting and interface status summary.

We can check if any routing effects your network.

So i noticed Sometimes i get the internet to my devices, but still its very slow.
    I have attached few screen shots;

Policy Routes : To direct youtube traffic to Cellular network.

    Interface Summery

    Security Policys

Log : I Don't know why it occurs, Destination is my Public IP.

    Your screenshot shows lan2

Youtube have many more URL's so you could make a group with

    *.Youtu.be

    *.googlevideo.com

    *.youtube.com

    and many more like ads.

You are likely using SYSTEM_DEFAULT_WAN_TRUNK with Least Load First so some traffic will go out WAN and some out Cellular but a routing rule overrides this.

Another problem you might have is ISP1 by wan1 CDN and ISP2 by Cellular CDN may not like trying to get video over Cellular using ISP1 DNS on wan1.

So in settings > system > DNS for Domain Zone Forwarder add *.googlevideo.com with DNS server from ISP Cellular to do *.googlevideo.com lookups over Cellular.

Thanks for the reply. Now youtube rule works fine, the issue is whole internet drops at random intervals.

When internet is working, everthing is fine.

Maybe your ISP line is dropping caused by a bad line?

Make two routing rules one with incoming Interface member LAN2 then destination the IP 8.8.8.8 next hop type Interface to 3G USB and one with incoming Interface member LAN2 then destination the IP 8.8.4.4 next hop type Interface to Wan1.

Run two ping lines on your PC one to 8.8.8.8 and one to 8.8.4.4 to check each connection.
