Hello,

I have a Zyxel NAS326 with a Raid 1 (2x 1TB). Now I want to connect another external hard drive to the NAS via USB. A backup should be made automatically once a week. How can I set this up?

Many greetings

You can use Backup Planner of NAS326 feature.

    Hello,

    Thanks for the quick answer.
I also have 1TB as external hard drive. Therefore I can only make a backup of the Raid System. What do I have to set here. What is the difference of "Vollständige Sicherung" and "Inkrementelle Sicherung"? What means "Synchronisierung" ans "RSync"?

I want one backup per week from the raid.

What do I have to enter in "Löschregeln"?

    Many Thanks!

Ok, since I only have space on the external hard drive for 1 backup, I must probably make an incremental backup.

What is the difference between Archive Incremental and Rsync?

Under Rsync it says "The NAS deletes all data in the target folder before running the backup". Is that correct? Two lines above it is written, "It only sends the differences..."

Rsync is a Client/Server model software need designate one device as Server and other as client and install the Rsync tool on both of them. The Rsync Server is the data storage side, and allows Rsync Client sync data to it.

Okay, thanks. I've now realized it with Rsync. Seem to work.
