NSA320 public folder has gone missing

Used to work just fine.  At some point in the last few weeks, the public folders disappeared.  I expect it was a Win10 update that broke it.  Now itunes is lost.  How can I get the public folder back to visible.  I see it when I log in to the NSA device via web browser but it is invisible to the computer and hence to itunes.

That might be related to SMB1. Your 320 is quite old, and only supports SMB1.That is proven insecure (WannaCry used a vulnerability in SMB1), and Microsoft is phasing it out.

You basically have 3 options:

• Ditch that NAS.
• Re-enable SMB1 in Windows
• Get SMB2/3 working on the NAS. For this there are 2 options:
• Install a different OS: Debian,Arch arm
• Install a newer SMB version on stock software using 3th party tools.
  The link to installing Entware-ng is dead, but it all boils down to installing MetaRepository

Unfortunately not. Basically it's installing and enabling the zyxel-samba-replacement in Entware-ng.

Enabling is setting the execute bit for the /opt/etc/init.d/ script/

Has anyone a full walkthrough to achieve the Zyxel Samba Replacement on a NSA310? Some links to instructions are down. Any help appreciated

Hello everybody.  I have downloaded the zyxel-samba-replacement (zyxel-samba-replacement_3.6.25_all.ipk) posted by Mijzelf, but no one of the other links for instructions work.  How to install the replacement on my NSA320 ? Any help appreciated.
