WOL is ok, because NAS can be waken up by magic packet through any WOL tool.
But as I know, Zyxel APP ( zCloud and zyxel drive) doesn't have this feature, even Android...
Most APPs were designed for data access, so I think official APP does not support, then no other APP else.

You can shutdown the NAS by typing the command 'poweroff' in the command line (as root). So you can shutdown it by executing

    ssh root@nas540 "poweroff"

from you computer. In this case it will ask for the rootpassword. If you install Tweaks and enable a non-volatile home directory for root, you can also install a keypair to do it login-less.

You can access GUI from external web, and turn it off from your smartphone with this way, but it' secureless than ssh... Mijzelf solution is the best :-)

You can do it with one button ssh on android.

Link it with the above mentioned command
  • Hello guys

When I run "poweroff" from a ssh terminal, I get "Operation" not permitted. I do this as "admin".
Any ideas on how to get permission

    regards Flemming

You have to login as root. admin has not enough permissions.
  • That did it. Thanks.
