GS1910 - when are packets categorized as "Filter Received"?

I have some older GS1910 switches on my network running V2.00(AAAY.0)C020150609 firmware. In looking at the Port Statistics Overview page I noticed a large count in Filtered Received on a few ports (see below - highlighted in yellow).

Port 23 (which has the highest number) is part of a static lag with port 24. Port 23 and Port 24 are set up with vlans and ingress checking turned on (see below):

Port 23 and 24 are connected to a switch with the same static lag and vlans configured.

Under what circumstances does traffic end up in the Filtered Received bucket?

    Hi @imaohw

The most cases of Filtered Received count:

    1) VLAN of ingress packets doesn't match with the allowed VLAN of the port.

    2) Unorthodox packets, e.g., src MAC = dst MAC.

    Thanks for the info @Zyxel_Lucious,

I have noticed that the newer switches with newer firmware (GS1920, GS 2210) do not report on packets which are “Filtered Received”.

Are these packets included in another bucket? If not are they tracked and reportable in some way.

    Hi @imaohw

Like you said, GS1910 series is an old model with early firmware.

Due to internal concern, the new firmware has removed this counter since it's rather trivial and misleading for users.
