Goodmorning everyone,
With an NSG50 gateway I created a vpn l2tp ipsec. With windows working properly.
I'm trying to configure a linux client with ubuntu 18.04 but it doesn't connect.
I added l2tp support on ubuntu following this guide:

but still does not connect.
Are there any other parameters to add? I was thinking about the phase 1 and 2 algorithms but I can't find any settings on nebula to know how they are set.
Has anyone already addressed this problem?
Thank you!

I can establish the tunnel successfully with Ubuntu is your NSG located behind the NAT gateway?
And is there any relevant clues in event log?

no particular event in the event log. the NSG (nebula) is placed behind a router with the nat activated (NOT double nat). VPN with a windows client works correctly.

@MGK , I just follow the steps from the link you provide and I can establish L2TP VPN between my Ubuntu(18.0.4) and my NSG100.
I just use like what the website says:
    Phase 1 Algorithms: 3des-sha1-modp1024
    Phase 2 Algorithms: 3des-sha1

If you use different, maybe you may share what algorithms you use.

    now works,
it wasn't the phase one and two algorithms I had put in, but I had to deselect the use of PAP from the PPP settings.
    Thanks a lot!
