What does DFS channel mean in the radio settings page?

DFS stands for Dynamic Frequency Selection. In most countries there are regulations that limit the operation of certain 5GHz channels, whereas some frequencies are specifically used by weather and military radar systems requires other wireless services to implement Dynamic Frequency Selection(DFS) and Transmission Power Control(TPC) to avoid interfering with these frequecies when they detect radar signals. The IEEE 802.11h standard defines the requirments for DFS.

The DFS channels are mostly channels in the U-NII band (or channels between 52 and 140) , to avoid using these channels, toggle on the "Avoid 5G DFS channel" in Radio settings page if you are using DCS or avoid configuring to these channels if you are manually selecting.
